He won't remember his first Easter morning.
But I will.
His rumpled pajamas and messy hair with the piece sticking straight up.
The way he grinned at me when I asked him if the Easter bunny came.
The way he just stared at his Easter basket bucket for what seemed like forever .
(any other time he would have lunged for a bucket filled with stuff. but he took his time!)
Finally he checked it out. {yes, the bunny did bring him shoes!}
See what I meant about the hair?
The light-up pinwheel was the favorite.
The rest of the day was lovely.
We went to church, where the message was that death is not the end of our story,
just as it was not end of Jesus'.
{we finally, a month or so ago, chose a church!)
Then we drove to Hubby's mom's where we ate a lot of good food and watched Cormac attempt to participate in the Egg Hunt.
Okay, he really just sat in the grass and we brought him stuff.
Still fun.

p.s. the rest of the easter pics will be up on facebook, my FB friends!
p.p.s new post on the Tumblr page - Cormac's very first day :)
oh my gosh, I love that first photo and he is such a cutie Greta!! I miss that baby stage.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Love the pics. I remember those first few Easters and egg hunts! Now trying to hide the eggs for my 7 and 9 year old is getting difficult. Sad, but we might be getting out of the egg hunting at our house.
ReplyDeleteSince my ten month old is the third baby, Easter bunny only brought him some empty plastic eggs. Guess what? He was thrilled. Awww...third kids!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos of Cormac's Easter. He is such a cutie!!!
